Coincidence or Miracle?

Updated: Dec 9, 2020

Do you know the difference? Have you ever thought about it? I have and I'm interested to hear your choice in belief. Let's start with some facts.

According Webster's dictionary, a coincidence is described as the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection. Where as a miracle is stated as being an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment, manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.

After watching, The Christmas Chronicles 2, with my daughter, this morning, I began to question my stance between the two. Was this movie meant for me to experience a small yet profound miracle, placed in my life at the exact moment I needed reminding and reassurance? Or, was this movie moment a coincidence set in motion by the holiday blues that had begun to set in due to the lack of tradition and peopling as a result caused by Covid? My conviction has been wavering ALL day!

I spent a good part of my day working through my thoughts, talking with my business coach, watching the movie for the 2nd time and writing this blog post. And I came to this conclusion, I believe EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, especially Christmas ones. And I believe that being fully present this morning while fulfilling a simple request from my teenage daughter allowed my mind to be open to the parallelism between this movie and my life-personally AND professionally. The abundant Christmas spirit that flows through my baby girl, year-round, overflowed onto my impatient, unsettled, and sorrow-filled heart this morning via a family movie told by Santa and Mrs. Claus. I am so grateful for my daughter, her beautiful heart and her Christmas spirit. A sense of peace is now felt; in my heart, in my mind and about the journey I embarked upon nearly 5 years ago.

My hope for you is this... may the season of giving bring you much love, happiness and health! May your mind be calm and heart open to YOUR miracle (or coincidence). And needless to say, I highly recommend The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2 and all things Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell! -Until next time, jamie : )
